That Girl

I spotted that girl twice on Sunday, at the shows of Rajesh Pratap Singh and Bruno Pieters.

I din't take this photo for fashion but beauty reasons. When I saw her first I thaught she would make a perfect model for make-up. The flawless skin, the beautiful long hair and stunning face. As far as I noticed, no one of the street fashion bloggers posted about her. There you go.

On And Off The Runway

Diane Krueger is one of the permanent first-row Chanel guests and she is the girl to wear the collections well. Have a look at this Chanel Spring 2008 RTW dress inspired by the american flag, first.
Source: Style.com

Diane showed how to wear it off the runway with respect an grace. She combines it with a black blazer and Chanel Jewelery. Of course, this is not a result of extreme-stylist work but it matches and especially blue and black look sophisticated and classy together. A little red lipstick for the flag flavor is sufficient I think.

Seasonal Muses

In fashion there two kinds of muses: The forever muses (like Kate Moss or Lady Amanda Harlech) and seasonal muses like Sienna Miller.

Of course both have the same qualities the only difference is that the first are inspiring forever and latter only part-time. After loosing herself over Edie, Sienna's feeling for style is back (part-time it seems). The latest photo shows a matching mix of accessories which made me smile. A special outfit for a cold winter's day.

The Great Grandmother Sunglasses

Before the fashion show of Mina Perhonen started, this lady was my personal enrichment. I stared at her all the time because she looked so graceful with these sunglasses, cream-faced complexion and red lips.

After the show I found her alone walking on the street and asked her we she found those marvellous vintage sunglasses.

"Thanks you very much they belonged to my great grand-mother" she replied.

What a great grand-mother!

Stunning Woman Meets Stunning Dress

This is a photo of Natalia Vodianova wearing a pink Giambattista Valli Silk Dress at the annual Serpentine Gallery Party 2007. The dress is wonderful but not easy to wear without the perfect body. Natalia three months pregnant with her 3rd child is looking lolita-like and stunning as ever.
I also like the all the other short dresses of the Gambista Valli Summer 2007 collections. If one has the legs and the face for it, there could be no more glamorous evening dress.

Is It the Person Who Makes the Outfit Or The Outfit The Person?

I came over this photo of Kate Moss today and I think it makes it pretty obvious.

The Outfit consisting of:

  • 1 simple but for sure expensive Blazer -> You would rather spot ladies who got a bit long in the tooth
  • a black t-shirt combined with a black spencer -> really nothing new
  • the good old skinny jean -> everybody is wearing it
  • black varnish ballet pumps (I am obsessed with those and have 3 pairs but I have to admit) - nothing revolutionary

There are not many people who would make such noble but very simple, close to boring outfit look exiting. She does it...over and over again, year by year. The more boring the outfit, the more exciting gets Kate.

Unique Kate is back

I know that KM style is being discussed every day in several magazines, which makes the topic boring in some way. My first intention was not to write about Kate but to develop a post comparing Kate, Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin's style because I just think that KM has Brigitte's Face combined with Jane's style. This is just a declaration...and I will skip this post now because I decided to go for something else...something very "unspecial"...

While browsing through the new photos of Kate being published at "The Fashionspot" I realized that her way of style is changing again. During the past month she was dressed in a more classical way and the outfits didn't vary much.

Appearance has always to do with personal situations and emotional life - I think that Kate must feel quite good right now if I assign this thesis to her current look.
Coming back to the headline, this is an "unspecial post" with an "unspecial subject" but very "special outfits"...
